VIETNAM AIRLINES CATERERS (VACS) WINS TENDER FOR IN-FLIGHT CATERING SERVICES AT LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

On the morning of December 24, a signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) for the investment, construction, and operation of In-Flight Catering Facilities No. 1 and No. 2 under Sub-Project 4 of Long Thanh International Airport.


The ceremony was graced by Mr. Pham Van Hao, Deputy Director of CAAV, alongside key representatives from the Planning and Investment Department, Department of Legal affairs, Department of International cooperation and the Contract Negotiation team. Representing the investor, Mr. Hoang Xuan Hiep, General Manager of Vietnam Airlines Caterers (VACS), formally signed the agreement.

Mr. Pham Van Hao emphasized the project's strategic importance for the successful development of Long Thanh International Airport's first phase. VACS was selected as the preferred investor following a rigorous and transparent bidding process, reflecting the company's strong reputation and extensive experience in the in-flight catering industry through over the 3 decades.
A New Era for VACS in Long Thanh International Airport
With a legacy of over 31 years of development, as one of leading in-flight caterers in Vietnam, VACS is recognized for extensive expertise and thorough preparation in infrastructure and workforce development, ensuring VACS is well-equipped to meet the specialized requirements of the Long Thanh International Airport project.
Upon completion, VACS's state-of-the-art catering facility at Long Thanh will span approximately 36,000 m², featuring cutting-edge systems and production lines. This facility is projected to produce 20,000 to 30,000 meals daily, ensuring it meets the diverse requirements of airlines operating at Long Thanh International Airport.

VACS is actively advancing plans to upgrade latest technology and equipment, expand production capabilities, and develop a highly skilled, professional workforce. These initiatives are focused on ensuring superior service quality, positioning VACS to seamlessly meet the demands of airlines and passengers at Long Thanh International Airport upon operations. The project will play a crucial role in supporting Long Thanh International Airport’s mission to provide long-term value and benefits to Vietnam’s aviation industry. It will contribute to infrastructure development, increase transport capacity, meet the rising demands for travel, business, and tourism, strengthen regional connectivity, and drive the socio-economic growth of southern Vietnam and the entire country.
