According to Mr. Lê Đức Cảnh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, the two projects - catering and aircraft maintenance - have a total investment of nearly VND 1,800 billion and are being implemented by Vietnam Airlines Caterers (VACS) and Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (VAECO), both of which are key subsidiaries of Vietnam Airlines.

Both facilities are part of the Airport’s Aviation Services zone (Component Project 4), which is designated for technical maintenance, ground handling, catering, logistics, and training.

The goal is to establish a synchronized, modern, and internationally standardized operational ecosystem at Vietnam’s future aviation hub.

This move underscores the Vietnam Airlines methodical and comprehensive investment strategy for this future strategic airport hub.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Xuan Hiep, General Manager of VACS, said that the In-flight Catering Facility No. 1 will be built on plot E-09, covering an area of 30,646 m², with a preliminary investment of VND 687 billion. The highlight of this project is that the new facility will accommodate a dedicated Halal kitchen facility with a closed one-way production system.
