On August 15, 2024, Vietnam Airlines Caterers (VACS), in collaboration with Japan Airlines (JAL), hosted an event to introduce the menu onboard of flights JL750 and JL070 departed from Ho Chi Minh City. Taking this opportunity, JAL and VACS chef officially introduce the unique and spectacular inflight service and fine dining of style of JAL in-flight meals, also the valued guests were enjoying the exploration of VACS inflight catering kitchen. The event welcomed representatives from Japan Airlines and travel agents all over Vietnam – who are JAL business partners and ticket agency. During the function event, all the guests tried all meals uplifted for both the Business Class and Economy Class of Japan Airlines, experiencing the authentic Japanese flavors such as Japanese delicacies set, main courses which was designed and cooked with authentic Japanese recipe as well as modern Western main course and appetizer – all meals were served to fusion cuisine prepared by VACS chefs.
The Kitchen Tour provided thorough insight of inflight meal production process, from ingredient selection to final packaging. This event also offered a rare opportunity for non-aviation professionals to visit one of Vietnam’s leading catering companies.
