VACS RECRUITING PERSONNEL FOR IN-FLIGHT CATERING PROJECT AT LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

On August 23, 2025, Vietnam Airlines Caterers (VACS) took part in the Long Thanh International Airport Job Fair held at 3A Park in An Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai. This recruitment event was organized by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to introduce nearly 3,000 job opportunities in anticipation of Long Thanh International Airport’s Phase 1 opening in 2026. The fair attracted thousands of attendees and multiple aviation companies. VACS was one of the key participating companies, actively recruiting new staff for its upcoming operations at Long Thanh. Its presence at the fair underscored VACS’s commitment to expanding service to the new airport and to engaging local talent for its workforce.



Long Thanh International Airport: A Major New Hub in Southern Vietnam

Long Thanh International Airport, located about 40 km east of Ho Chi Minh City, is Vietnam’s biggest aviation infrastructure project, Designed to alleviate congestion at Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCMC, Long Thanh is being built in phases and will ultimately have a capacity of up to 100 million passengers per year, making it the largest airport in Vietnam and one of the largest in the world. The government approved the project in 2021, and construction has been underway since then. In its first phase (nearing completion), the airport will have one runway and an international terminal capable of serving 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo annually

Career Opportunities at VACS’s Long Thanh Unit
With over 30 years of experience VACS to prepare for the start of catering operations at Long Thanh International Airport, VACS is actively recruiting a range of positions. At the job fair the company announced openings for the following roles:
  • Transportation Staff: Drivers and logistics personnel to handle the transport of catered meals and equipment between the flight kitchen and aircraft, ensuring timely delivery on the tarmac.
  • Security Staff: Security personnel to maintain safety and regulatory compliance within the catering facility and during airside operations.
  • Chefs (Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Bakery, Halal): Professional chefs and cooks in various sections – from hot meals and cold pantry to bakery and halal food preparation – to craft high-quality in-flight menus and specialty meals.
  • Delivery & Receiving Staff: Employees to manage the receiving of raw materials (ingredients and supplies) and the dispatch/delivery of finished meal carts, while keeping inventory and quality checks in order.
  • General Labor: Various support workers involved in tray setup, kitchen assistance, food preparation, meal packaging, staff canteen service, warehouse stocking, and other day-to-day operational tasks.
Each of these positions is crucial to the smooth functioning of VACS’s Long Thanh catering facility.
