UNITED AIRLINES RESUMES U.S. – HO CHI MINH CITY ROUTE AFTER 8 YEARS
27/10/2025
Early morning of October 27, 2025, United Airlines officially starts their inaugural flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City and United States, marking a significant milestone since 2004. The first flight, UA153, departed from Ho Chi Minh City at 6:30 AM and transit in Hongkong then flying to USA, symbolizing United’s renewed commitment to connecting the Vietnam-USA sky.

Vietnam Airlines Caterers (VACS) is honored to once again collaborate with United Airlines after many years. This event marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between the two sides and reflects the growing connection between Vietnam and the United States in aviation and commerce.
United’s new schedule operates with UA153 routing HCMC–Hong Kong–San Francisco, operating 787 9 Dreamliners.
In context, United’s historic return to Vietnam mirrors the groundbreaking first flight in 2004. As a United press release noted, the 2004 service was “the first scheduled flight of a US airline to Vietnam in almost 30 years”, highlighting the importance of this market. The new daily service beginning October 2025 re-establishes that link after United’s prior Ho Chi Minh City flights ended in 2017. By resuming flight via Hong Kong, United strengthens cultural and commercial connections between Vietnam and the United States.

As a trusted inflight catering partner, VACS is proud to accompany United Airlines in providing exceptional culinary experiences that embody international quality and unique local Vietnamese cuisine style. Every meal served represents not only our commitment to food safety and service excellence but also our dedication to elevating the overall passenger experience.

The successful relaunch of this route highlights the continued growth and collaboration within Vietnam’s aviation industry on the global stage. VACS extends heartfelt congratulations to United Airlines on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to a continued partnership in delivering premium inflight dining services to passengers worldwide.

Congratulations once again to United Airlines – and cheers to many safe and successful journeys ahead!
