VACS’ Kitchen Tour with Cathay Pacific’s "I Can Fly" Programme

In mid April, the students of Thang Long English and Vocational Training school have had an opportunity to visit Vietnam Airlines Caterers as a present for their excellent academic achievement in the past year. This is a part of the program named "I Can Fly" by Cathay Pacific Airways and Saigon Children's Charity that provides those disadvantaged children the opportunity to gain a better insight of operations, engineering, inflight and airport services.

Understanding that education is not only about classroom theory lectures but also the extracurriculars where children can freely play, learn and pursue their dreams at the same time, the trip aims to give the participants a wider exposure to local aviation facilities. It covers a variety of activities including kitchen tour and CX’s menu introduction. Last but not least, the students got a chance to try some delicious Business Class hot entrees that are served on the flights of Cathay Pacific Airways.

Hopefully, the journey to VACS has been an interesting experience and unforgettable memories for the students of Thang Long English and Vocational Training school. Moreover, it will enable them to learn more about the different aspects of the aviation industry, develop a sense of commitment to their community, help the young people gain some career inspiration and at the same time navigate a route to professional success in the future.
