VACS participate in Sky Delight Awards 2019
On April 24, 2019 Vietnam Airlines Caterer had such privilege to participate in the Sky Delight Awards 2019 in Moscow, Russia. This is a unique International Culinary Competition for catering chefs, which was held in the framework of the IV SKY SERVICE 2019 international forum by Aeromar and Aeroflot – A Russian Airlines.
CEO of Aeroflot and General Director of Aeromar started the Accreditation of Sky Service Forum 2019The Culinary Competition gathers 10 professional and international qualified chefs from top inflight caterers in the world, including Russia, Korea, Japan, UAE, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam… This is the precious opportunities for the Chefs to introduce and promote the local cuisine and signature dishes yet still assured the inflight meal standards.
Catering Chefs and Cabin Crew in the Opening ceremonyThe contestants’ works are assessed by an independent panel headed by the President of World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS) Thomas A. Gugler. All the dishes presented should qualify the taste, flavor, presentation, along with the feasibility and need for the inclusion in in-flight menu.

The Contestants in Sky Delight Awards 2019This year, Sour Chef Nguyen Van Tinh honorably represented Vietnam Airlines Caterers to participate in the Competiontion. Chef Tinh had brought to the competition 4 signature dishes with the perfect combination of Vietnamese cuisine and modern fusion dining for inflight meal service. These dishes were highly valuated by the jury in terms of unique local Vietnamese taste, cooking innovation, presentation and hygiene standards. As a result, he had been shortlisted in the top 5 candidates
